Weather Machine

It’s raining up a storm here. I’m not sure of my feelings about this. It does make it so I do not have to wash my car. But all this rain + watching an old episode of Kim Possible where the blue man makes a weather machine and tries to take over the world made me consider it a possibility.

I ran a Google search for “weather machine take over the world” and one of the results was discussing Hurricane Isabel being a terrorist attack, so an attack on the world using the weather could be done. Make the world rain endlessly and just flood it out.

However, if you flood out the world you lose valuable resources and that would defeat the purpose of controlling the world. I could command a legion of meteorologist and environmentalists and they could monitor the effects of Earth’s ecosystems while I flood out places till they pay me. But then, what if they decide not to pay due respect and then I just flood them out. I lose ultimately.

I don’t like this plan. I will have to make due with just driving through the puddles and hoping some person is dumb enough to be outside in this rain. You’re outside, walking, during a storm almost, you deserve to be splashed with a lot of dirty gutter water!

Monster as Minions

After watching the movie Cloverfield, I decided that sending a massive monster would not necessarily be a good idea for taking over the world. Why? Reasons are as follows:

  • Monster (singular) is only a viable minion for one location, NOT the world. So if I chose to take over say a country, actually, no, just a city, then it would be a guarantee good choice. However, I am looking to take over the world, not just a measly city.
  • Second, you only get ONE monster. So when monster is destroyed, what do you do?
  • As the movie showed, it may take a lot of military support, but it should be able to take out the monster (this is also the theme of many other monster movies).

I think maybe monsters (plural) may seem like a better idea as they can take over multiple locations at once (think Independce Day, Mars Attacks, and War of Worlds - except I would definitely ensure that my monsters can breathe on our planet).

The problem with montsers though is that they are difficult to control, and if you want to be an Overlord, you must have absolute control. I am also OCD and a control freak, so monsters would be a very bad choice.

Plus, what am I suppose to do to keep them happy? Feed them my would be followers? I need people to worship me. Not be my pet’s food. Well, I could keep a pet monster that lives on his own deserted island and use the whole, “you have committed treason, I banish you to this island where you will be my pet’s pet, or his morning lunch; whichever he decides.” Hmm, I think I like that better.

By the way, if you watch Cloverfield, bring a bag, you get quite dizzy. Oh, and only watch it once.
